American Roulette a Major Game Version
If you are looking for an opportunity to enjoy a casino atmosphere from the comfort of your own home, perhaps it is time to try one of the many variants of roulette that are available online. American Roulette is one of the versions of roulette that are popular all over the world, whether played online or in land casinos.
Everyone, not only the gaming public, will recognise the spinning wheel of roulette. It is a game that is played often in stories and movies, and is the ultimate game of chance. Roulette offers clear and simple betting, together with an excitement factor not often outdone by any other casino game. Players need little knowledge of roulette, either the American roulette, or the European or French versions of the game, to be able to play. Roulette has been played and enjoyed in land casinos for centuries, so the evolution to the online form of the game has been inevitable. It is now one of the favourite games, much like the popular online blackjack games in Canada, in this thriving industry.
The Spin of the Ball is Everything
In any form of roulette, players will bet on the outcome of the spin of a ball around a numbered wheel. The number where the ball lands at the end of the spin, together with the bets placed around that number will determine what payout you will get. You can place a bet on individual numbers, sets of numbers, or on odd or even numbers or even the colour of the numbers, red or black.
When you load up the game, you will be shown a screen with the betting table at the bottom. On the right of the screen you can find Hot or Cold numbers listed. These numbers have no influence on any of the spins of the wheel, but you can use them as a guide for placing your bet, if you wish.
Two Green Zeros in American Roulette
The three main forms of roulette that you can play online, are the European, French or American roulette. All of them have identical rules, and the only difference between American roulette and the other variants, is the number of zeros on the wheel. American roulette has two green zeros, and the other forms have only one. Seeing that any ball that lands in the green zero will give the amount of the bet placed that round, to the house, it follows that American roulette does have a slightly better chance for the house to win.
You have thirty six opportunities to hit your number in European roulette, but in American roulette you have an extra number, so an extra betting opportunity. You can also group those two zeroes into one single bet, much like you can bet on a split in the European version.
The standard betting involves choosing a chip value and then placing it on your choice of numbers. There are more complex bets you can make, and if you click on the Open Racetrack button it will open the racetrack. Here you can pick a number and automatically bet on the two numbers on either side of that number, for a total of five bets.
When your bets are place, you click on the button in the right corner to start the ball rolling and hold your thumbs that it will land on one of your numbers. You can repeat your bet, or revise your strategy and try something else.
